Jaguar Tracks for Families
October 2, 2020
From the Office of Mrs. Ippolito
Dear Joshua Eaton Families,
Happy October!
Beginning the week of October 13th, we will be welcoming COhort B Grade 1 and 2 students back into Joshua Eaton. We are excited for these students to be joining our Kindergarteners already in session. I have created a chart below to help families organize their children's schedules for the foreseeable future. If your child is fully remote, they will be supported by another JE teacher within the grade level M-TH and by their typical homeroom teacher every Friday and during their assigned homeroom's remote week. Cleanly put, if your fully remote child has Ms. McQuillin as their homeroom teacher (Gr 1 Cohort B teacher), on Cohort B week when the rest of the class is live in school, your fully remote child will do their remote learning with Ms. Byrnes (Gr 1 Cohort A teacher).
If you have any questions, please reach out to your homeroom teacher.
I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the work of our custodial team of Mr. Guerette and Mr. Catino. They have been working tirelessly to maintain clean, functional, and most of all safe learning environments. Beyond their daily cleaning, they have been on top of disinfecting all high touch surfaces. We are beyond grateful for their efforts.
Be well! If you need anything please let me know.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ippolito, Principal
Joshua Eaton

COVID-19 Update
I wanted to share some helpful resources that were just released by Boston Children’s Hospital regarding COVID-19 and helpful tips about supporting young children with wearing masks. Remember, it is not one approach that will work to stop the spread of the coronavirus, but a combination of wearing masks, social distancing, and practicing good hand hygiene, that will work to keep us all safe. Please review these documents and reach out of it you have any questions. (elmy.trevejo@reading.k12.ma.us or 781-942-9161 ext. 140.)

Another priority that was proposed as a SEPAC goal for the 2020-2021 school year was caregiver education on reading and literacy, particularly early signs of reading challenges. While the SEPAC, in collaboration with the District, works towards this goal, in the meantime, Neuropsychology & Education Services for Children & Adolescents (NESCA) is offering a webinar on this specific topic on Oct. 15th.
